Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, circa 1855-1875, a two-gallon jug with cobalt bird decoration, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT"; paired with a one-gallon jug with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "WHITES BINGHAMTON". Norton jug significant restoration, not affecting decoration, as well as large network of thin cracks to underside. Whites jug with staining to surface, heavy crazing to reverse, a small chip and hairlines to spout, and some small in-the-firing contact marks.
