Fine Miniature Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Mid-Atlantic origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base and short, flaring collar, the front decorated with two brushed foliate designs, the spout with vertical swag decoration, and handle with cobalt highlights at the terminals. Provenance: Christie's, New York, NY; includes Christie's sticker on underside. Excellent condition with a small base chip, a small rim chip, and a minor rim nick. H 3 1/4".
