Two Pieces of Stoneware, Baltimore, MD and Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1870, a butter crock with cobalt foliate decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, paired with a spittoon with clover motif. Butter crock a dark salt smear to side, and chips to interior and exterior of rim, some filled. Spittoon with base chips, thin spider lines to body and underside, and a spot of old gray paint near base. H (of butter crock) 4 1/4" ; Diameter (of crock) 7".
