Two Pieces of Stoneware, Eastern U.S. origin, circa 1840-1875, a one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration on front and reverse, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865; paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt floral decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1840. Remmey jar with a 1 1/8" base chip, a few rim chips, a line to one handle, and a 3 3/4" Y-shaped surface line, not visible on interior. Jug with shallow chipping to spout.
