Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "S.B. BOSWORTH / HARTFORD, CT.", circa 1880-1890, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a stylized branch with additional foliate brushwork above. Chips to interior of rim. Rim chips. Some staining. Some fry to cobalt.
