Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. BURGER, JR. / ROCHESTER N.Y.", circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flower with heavily-shaded petals and leaves. Slip-trailed "2" to shoulder. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Two spout chips and an in-the-firing flake along top edge of spout.
