Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, attributed to Peter Cross, Hartford, CT, circa 1806-1808, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and footed base, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a flower with circular impressions at the center and petal tips. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base chips and a 1 5/8" in-the-firing chip to top of spout.
