Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Palatine, West Virginia, origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, decorated across the front with a series of four brushed cobalt stripes. Three base chips, all of which appear to have occurred in the firing. A shallow chip to interior of rim. H 6 3/4".
