Scarce and Fine Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Pears Decoration, Stenciled "GREENSBORO," Pennsylvania origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, featuring a pair of crisply-stenciled pairs below the stenciled inscription "GREENSBORO,". Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignors' parents decades ago. Excellent condition with some minor nicks to shoulder molding. H 8 1/2".
