Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with slightly-flared collar and tooled rim, decorated with a two-stemmed clover plant design on the front and swags flanking the spout. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Rim with three holes on reverse, pierced prior to firing, to allow for a metal lid. A 1 1/2" flake to left side of rim. Otherwise excellent condition.
