Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, probably Beaver, PA, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jar with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed stem bearing three tulip blossoms and a bud. Brushed "4" above. Shoulder on front and reverse decorated with cobalt spots. Long, faint Y-shaped line on underside, continuing a short distance onto base in two places. Otherwise excellent condition.
