Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to G. & A. Black, Somerfield, PA, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jar with tall collar, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with flowering vine bearing hoof-shaped blossoms. Reverse with more-unusual floral design culminating a large blossom with splayed petals. One handle restored. A few small base chips. Some nicks to shoulder molding. A minor rim nick and light wear to rim.
