One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly NJ, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-squared spout, decorated with a stylized leaf design at the shoulder and cobalt highlights at the handle terminals. Essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing recessed spot near base on side of jug, a recessed spot on the underside, and a partial iron ping at shoulder.
