Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Signed "Lanier Meaders, Cleveland, GA origin, circa 1980, with large ears, heavily-incised eyelashes, and open mouth with kaolin teeth, the jug's surface covered in a streaky green alkaline glaze. Incised "Lanier Meaders" on underside. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small in-the-firing separation in clay to upper right eye lid. H 10 1/4".
