Large-Sized Redware Vase, probably New England origin, first half 19th century, ovoid vase with tooled rim and applied strap handles, decorated with incised wavy lines around the shoulder, the surface covered in a heavy lead glaze with mottled olive and orange ground. Excellent form and color. Some in-the-firing contact marks with adhered pieces of clay to surface. Wear to rim. Some surface wear. H 9 1/2".
