Two Small-Sized Northeastern U.S. Redware Jugs, first half 19th century, one with manganese daubs over a reddish ground, probably Norwalk, CT or Huntington, Long Island, New York; the other with manganese daubs over a darker ground, probably New England origin. Taller jug with broken and reglued handle, wear to surface, and a small nick to spout. Shorter jug with a few base chips and an in-the-making unglazed spot on side. H (of taller example) 7".
