Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "SEYMOUR & BOSWORTH / HARTFORD, CT," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Faint 4" line on reverse. 2" hairline from rim. Two iron pings. Some light staining. A tiny nick to interior of rim.
