One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Massachusetts origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a flowering plant bearing three large blossoms. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. 2 1/2" hairline from rim. Some faint lines on right side of jar. Hairline in collar on reverse. Chips and wear to interior of rim, primarily on inner rim for lid.
