Two-Gallon Glazed Redware Jar, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, tapered semi-ovoid jar with tall rim and incised line near shoulder, the interior and exterior covered in a heavy lead glaze over a bluish-green ground with orange spots. Impressed "2" on rim. A few areas of stable exfoliation. Some additional small spots of wear. Wear to top of rim and a small rim chip. Exfoliation to interior base. H 10 1/4".
