Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "CENTER WHEELING GROCER / H.F. BEHRENS," Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened, semi-rounded rim, the front decorated with a stenciled rising sun motif surrounded by the advertising "CENTER WHEELING GROCER / BEHRENS.". Some tight surface lines in base and underside, most of which are barely visible. Some lightness / blurriness to stenciling. H 6 1/2".
