Stoneware Canning Jar with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with rounded wax sealer rim, decorated with freehand cobalt stripes and featuring the stenciled advertising, "JOHN F. THOMPSON / DEALER IN STAPLE & FANCY GROCERIES / WHEELING. W. VA". Excellent condition with some light wear to cobalt. H 10 1/8".
