Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, with footed base and carved oval opening at shoulder, decorated with a series of brushed cobalt leaves around the body. Opening at shoulder decorated with leafy brushwork. 7 1/2" diagonal crack from base on front. A few other short lines extending up from base. H 4 1/4" ; Diameter 9 1/4".
