Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CORTLAND," New York State origin, circa 1867-1869, squat-shaped cylindrical jug, measuring approximately one to one-and-a-half gallons, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt design of two tulips extending from a central stem with leaves. Horizontal crack through handle. Short surface line in spout. A shallow chip to side of spout. Other spout nicks. Short, minor surface line at base. Minor base chip.
