Rare Large-Sized Redware Flowerpot, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, tapered pot with attached saucer and finely-formed shoulder with crimped molding. Surface covered in a lead glaze over a brilliant mottled green and orange ground. Excellent form and color. Glaze is remarkably well intact. Some areas of restoration to rim. 3 1/4", 3", and 2" sealed cracks from. Additional surface lines to surface, which appear to be in the firing, and do not extending through to interior. H 8" ; D (across top) 8".
