Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG. PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with an unusual design of a brushed cobalt daisy with bull's eye center, flanked by leaves. Strong color. Excellent condition with a small in-the-firing stone ping to reverse and a minor nick to base of handle.
