Unusual Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with "wax sealer" rim, featuring a large three-petaled tulip with looping stem, the rim and base with brushed cobalt stripes. Small chip on interior of rim. Glazed-over chip and a few tiny nicks to inner wax sealer rim. Small base chip. H 8 3/8".
