Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.," PA origin, circa 1875, with rounded foot, carved oval hole at shoulder, and circular opening above, the body decorated with brushed leaves and open decorated with cobalt highlights. Spidering crack emanating from shoulder, with a line continuing onto top surface and another continuing towards base. Base chip.
