Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Chain Link Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830, tall jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated around shoulder with a horizontal chain link design. Unusual impressed "2" on shoulder, within the shape of a sideways heart. 1" in-the-making separation on shoulder. 2" hairline from rim. Some minor base chips. H 13 1/4".
