Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Water Filter, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1890, cylindrical filter with flared base and double-stemmed tulip decoration, featuring the impressed words "GATE CITY STONE FILTER, / PAT. APRIL 20TH, 1888." 1 1/2" hairline at edge on underside. A few small rim chips. 6" hairline from rim on side of filter. H 9 1/4".
