Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA," Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, decorated completely around with a stem bearing large flowers. Impressed with Remmey maker's mark at base. Several small rim chips. Approximately 4" professionally-restored crack at base. Faint X-shaped line on underside. Contact mark to base. H 10 3/4".
