One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, ribbed handles, and squared rim, decorated with a two-stemmed floral design on the front and back, along with a series of vertical dashes under each handle. Thin crack in underside, continuing 7 1/2" up side of jar. Two small base chips. H 10".
