Two-Gallon Wheeling, WV Stoneware Advertising Jug, Western PA or Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "PETER WELTY & Co / WHOLESALE / LIQUORS / 1118 MAIN & 1121 MARKET ST / WHEELING, W. VA." Stenciled "2" at shoulder. Two small spout chips and two in-the-firing handle chips. H 14 1/2".
