Rare Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "J.P. PARKER / JANE LEW," WV origin, circa 1875, cylindrical churn with rounded shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with stenciled cross, star, and heart designs. Additional freehand brushwork and a freehand "5" on front. Signed examples of Jane Lew pottery are considered very difficult-to-find. Restored vertical crack extending from underside to underneath one handle. H 17 1/2".
