One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt swag and hanging flower design. 1 1/2" base chip with a 1" crack extending from it. Salty contact mark to shoulder. Rim chips. Small U-shaped hairline in rim. Additional hairline on interior of rim. H 10 1/2".
