Rare Half-Gallon Pittburgh, PA Stoneware Advertising Jug, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, narrow, cylindrical jug with tall spout and applied strap handle, decorated with the stenciled advertising "P.H. HAMBURGER. / WHOLESALE / LIQUOR DEALER / 29 & 30 DIAMOND / PITTSBURGH, PA." Desirable small size. Unusual and appealing slender form. Essentially as-made condition with a salt drip on reverse, contact mark on right side, and minor base nick on reverse. H 10 3/4".
