Fine Pittsburgh, PA Stoneware Advertising Jug, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with rounded shoulder and tooled spout, decorated with freehand cobalt stripes and the elaborate stenciled advertising "S. KLINORDLINGER. / DISTILLER OF PURE / RYE / WHISKEY. / IMPORTER OF BRANDY, GIN / & WINES . NO. 19 DIAMOND / PITTSBURGH. PA." A good example of Western PA advertising. Mint condition. H 11 1/2".
