Westerwald Stoneware "GR" Jug with Incised Decoration, German origin, circa 1750, bulbous jug with tooled foot and heavily-tooled collar, decorated with an applied Georgius Rex medallion surrounded by an incised suburst design. Incised leaf design with impressed circles on left and right sides of jug. Decoration highlighted in cobalt slip. Collar highlighted in manganese slip. Impressed "8" on reverse. Near mint condition with a small glazed-over rim chip. H 4 3/4".
