Rare and Fine Westerwald Stoneware Jug with Applied Decoration circa 1690, bulbous jug with heavily-tooled collar, the body decorated with twelve applied panels forming an opposing foliate design. Raised designs accented with alternating manganese and cobalt highlights. Rim decorated with manganese. Ribbed handle ends in a triangular "rat tail" terminal. Mint condition. H 6".
