Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO. / FORT EDWARD / N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt bird perched on a looping stem. 3 1/4" inverted Y-shaped line on front, which does not extend through to interior. Restoration to base on front. 3 1/2" Y-shaped line on underside. Rim chips. H 11 1/2".
