Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cream Jar, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, large-sized ovoid jar with applied handles and flattened rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt floral design of two large leaves and acorn-shaped flower buds. Sealed spidering crack with small chip extending down left side of jar. Two spout chips. Chip at end of one handle. H 13 1/4".
