Six-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Cherries Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1880, large-sized ovoid jar with applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower and cherries extending from a leafy stem. Large area of restoration to front, extending under one handle, and including some of decoration. Spidering lines at base. H 15".
