Unusual Redware Advertising Jar, Stamped "H,H FISHER / 214 PURCHASE ST," probably MA origin, second half 19th century, flaring jar with semi-squared rim and lead-glazed interior, impressed at the shoulder with advertising likely referring to the prominent New Bedford, Massachusetts baker and merchant, Henry. H Fisher, who operated on the corner of Purchase and North Streets. Possibly made for use in baking. Excellent condition with some staining to surface. H 4 3/4" ; Diam. (at rim) 6 3/8".
