Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Stamped "N. CLARK JR. ATHENS N. Y," mid 19th century, each of semi-ovoid form, featuring brushed and slip-trailed floral motifs. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Taller with a hairline to upper handle terminal and minor surface flaws. Shorter with a long Y-shaped line to underside, forming a short, curving line at base, a worn section to front, and a 2 1/2" x 3/4" base chip, a small in-the-firing ping near base, and traces of old paint to surface. H (of taller) 14 1/2".
