Rare Framed Map of Edgefield County, SC, Surveyed by Isaac Boles, 1871, including pottery-related landmarks such as "Miles. Pottery & Mill," "Shaw's Creek," "John Sugler," "Pine House," "Landrums," "Kirksey," "Kaolin," and various properties owned by members of the Mathis family. Significant staining and wrinkling throughout. Various tears. Losses near base. Smaller losses along edges. Map has not been examined out of its frame, but appears to be affixed to a cloth backing. Dimensions: 35 3/4" x 26 1/2".
