Glazed Redware Jar, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the lead-glazed surface featuring colorful orange-to-olive hues with orange spotting. Excellent condition, the interior of the rim with a minor chip and light wear. What appears to be a vertical crack in one side is actually only a pre-firing scratching in the clay. H 10 1/2".
