One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM. MOYER.," Harrisburg, PA origin, circa 1858-1861, semi-ovoid jar with applied lug handles and flared rim, brush-decorated with tulip plant. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Very nice condition. A 2 1/4" hairline from rim on reverse. Two very minor chips to underside at edge. Two minor chips to interior of rim. Two minor chips to inner rim for lid. Mottling to clay. H 10".
