One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO / PA.," circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring James Hamilton maker's stenciling above a stenciled "1 1/2." Some light surface wear. An in-the-making, glazed-over gash near base on front. Interior of rim with a small rim chip and a few minor rim nicks. H 8 7/8".
