Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, brush-decorated with three straight and wavy freehand stripes on the front. Very nice condition, the underside with a 2 1/4" star-shaped line and a few small Y-shaped lines, the interior with grease residue. Additionally, a small in-the-firing ping near midsection on proper left side. H 5 1/4" ; Diam. 6 1/2".
