Five-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug, Stenciled "C.L. WILLIAMS & CO. / NEW GENEVA / PA," circa 1890, ovoid jug with tooled spout and two applied handles at the shoulder, featuring C.L. Williams maker's stenciling at the center underscored by a cobalt-script "5" flanked by graduated dashes. Freehand stripe decoration above and below. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with some light surface wear and in-the-firing dryness to reverse. H 19 1/2".
