Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Atchison, New Geneva, PA, circa 1860, tapering jar with tooled shoulder and narrow "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a large brushed design of a tulip emanating from a long, looping stem. Exterior of rim with a 5/8" chip and minor nick. Shallow chips and wear to interior of rim. Other minor flaws including a minor chip to underside at edge. H 8 5/8".
